Your new role

As a Mine Geologist, you'll play a key role in ensuring geological integrity and maximising coal recovery through:

  • Conducting pit inspections with a focus on resource recovery
  • Applying advanced knowledge of loss and dilution mechanisms
  • Performing highwall mapping and geological modelling
  • Using Measure While Drill data in Maptek Vulcan
  • Producing concise "Geological Plan on a Page" documents
  • Supporting reconciliation processes and reporting
  • Collaborating with operations and technical teams
  • Maintaining strong safety standards and compliance

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience as a Mine Geologist in open-cut coal

  • Intermediate to advanced Maptek Vulcan skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong safety knowledge and commitment
  • Experience with pit inspections and geological modelling
  • Familiarity with reconciliation processes
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
