Your new role
As a Mine Geologist, you'll play a key role in ensuring geological integrity and maximising coal recovery through:
- Conducting pit inspections with a focus on resource recovery
- Applying advanced knowledge of loss and dilution mechanisms
- Performing highwall mapping and geological modelling
- Using Measure While Drill data in Maptek Vulcan
- Producing concise "Geological Plan on a Page" documents
- Supporting reconciliation processes and reporting
- Collaborating with operations and technical teams
- Maintaining strong safety standards and compliance
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience as a Mine Geologist in open-cut coal
- Intermediate to advanced Maptek Vulcan skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong safety knowledge and commitment
- Experience with pit inspections and geological modelling
- Familiarity with reconciliation processes
- Ability to work independently and within a team
