Wood Machinist – Timberyard

Location: Strathfield South, NSW

Full-Time Role

We are a busy timberyard in Strathfield South seeking an experienced Wood Machinist to join our friendly and hardworking team. This role offers variety, stability, and the opportunity to work with a supportive group in a well-established business.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining woodworking machinery to process timber to specification. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, suited to someone with strong attention to detail and a passion for quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating, setting up, and maintaining woodworking machinery (Spindles, Wallsaws, Planers and moulders, etc.)
• Cutting, shaping, and finishing timber products to specifications
• Reading and interpreting cutting lists and job orders
• Monitoring quality control throughout production
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area
• Assisting with general yard duties as required

About You:

• Previous experience as a Wood Machinist or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of timber products and machining processes
• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
