AC Laser is currently seeking a skilled professional to join our team in a Programming role. Using Bystronics' purpose-built nesting software BySoft.

CAD and Solidworks experience are essential while previous CNC and or programming experience will help speed up the Bysoft training which is provided.

You should be self-motivated, reliable, able to work unsupervised, punctual and possess a high attention to detail. Flexibility with working paid overtime is required to keep up with workload demand at times. We work as a very close group so being a team player is essential.

KEY POINTS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

• CAD Drawing experience in Laser Cutting, Sheet metal or Engineering Fields - Essential
• CNC Nesting experience – Very helpful
• Have a keen attention to detail
• Able to work effectively within a team
• Provide friendly and professional customer service to customers when required
• Have good computer skills
• Ability to interpret CAD and engineering drawings

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Work alongside Programming Manager and Production Manager to achieve business objectives
• Reading and interrupting customer drawings
• Communicating with customers in person, via email or over the phone
• Drawing both 2D and 3D parts from customer drawings or samples
• Following all job instructions
• Creating and applying cutting technology to parts
• Creating Press Brake programs
• Creating cutting nests for the multiple laser machines
• Working in a team environment (programming team and other staff)
• Following AC Laser programming procedures (training provided)
