About our role
Northern Star Resources are seeking experienced All Round Operators to join our brand-new open pit at Thunderbox Operations. This is a full-time, permanent role offered on an even-time 15:13 roster (15 days on, 13 days off).
You'll be part of a fresh, dynamic team working with brand-new equipment at a modern site designed for safety and efficiency. If you're ready for your next big move in gold mining, this is the opportunity for you.
Here's what awaits you:
- Operating a variety of equipment including (but not limited to) 16 and 18 Graders, D10 Dozers, 777D&F Watercarts, CAT844 and 854 Wheel Dozers and CAT 992 Loaders
- Conducting pre-start meetings in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures
- Reporting hazards when encountering them to ensure a safe work environment
- Following Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safe operation of mobile plant equipment
- Working towards reducing costs in daily jobs by not wasting resources at hand
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
Experience: 12+ months experience operating mining fleet in an open cut mining environment. Gold mining experience is also highly regarded.
Licence: Current Australian C - Class Drivers Licence (HR highly regarded)
Passion for growth: Genuine passion for the Australian gold mining industry with high regard for safety
