Pharmacist - Team Leader (Rural and Health Centres)

Your new role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Pharmacist Team Leader to provide strategic leadership and advanced clinical services across Logan and Beaudesert Health Service.  You will:

• Lead and manage a team of pharmacists, assistants, and administrative staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Provide advanced clinical and consultancy services across Beaudesert Hospital and associated health centres.
• Drive workforce planning, service innovation and clinical governance initiatives to improve outcomes.
• Represent pharmacy services at local and state levels, contributing to strategic planning and research.

About the Logan and Beaudesert Health Service Pharmacy Department

The Logan and Beaudesert Health Service Pharmacy Department consists of approximately 80 FTE pharmacists, 2 intern pharmacist and associated support personnel. The Department services 432 beds at Logan Hospital, 22 beds at Beaudesert Hospital, Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital, Meadowbrook Health Centre as well as the community Mental Health services and the Palen Creek Correctional Facility. These facilities include specialties such as, Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Maternity, Mental health, Emergency, Intensive care and Cardiac as well as many Specialist Outpatient Clinics. The Pharmacy Department is responsible for the overall supervision of a drug budget of $10 Million.

All areas of Logan Hospital, Beaudesert Hospital, Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital, Meadowbrook Health Centre, Palen Creek Correctional Facility and relevant community mental health services are serviced by the pharmacy staff on a rotational roster system. The pharmacy service operates on a 7 day a week roster with a 24-hour emergency clinical on-call system.
