The Opportunity

In this Manager / BDM role, you will be at the forefront of tapping into the market to build upon the existing Perforge portfolio. Tasked with supporting to deliver on a compelling customer offer and value add approach, as well as managing whole of business operations.

Perforge is the number 1 local supplier of commercial, industrial and architectural balustrade, grating and perforated sheeting. Product sales and ongoing service and support are a key part of our market offer.

You will need to be a proactive, well organised individual, capable of managing competing demands to ensure positive job and project outcomes are achieved. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of client requirements from initiation to job/project close out and everything in-between. You will need to exhibit excellent stakeholder management skills, with a strong understanding that collaboration, open and honest communication and exceptional planning are key to delivering client satisfaction on time and within budget.

Tasks of the role:

  • Responsible for the management of day-to-day operations such as invoicing, month end reports and liaising with the Accounts team.
  • Stock control
  • Identifying opportunities for business growth to convert leads within the defined market
  • Proactively approach and build relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Develop a strong sales pipeline to ensure the achievement of targets
  • Support at a local level, relevant planned marketing and technical campaigns
  • Actively involved in working with customers to deliver specialised products for their projects.
  • Prepare reports and discuss with the Managing Director on developments.
  • This role is for a person with previous business operations experience.

  • Business Management and Sales experience
  • MYOB knowledge
  • Preferred experience in construction.
  • Proactive and ambitious mindset to build upon existing presence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
  • High level written and verbal communication
  • A full, unrestricted Australian drivers license
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of driving growth and managing budgets effectively.
