About the Role

Roads 2000 are currently seeking an experienced HD Mechanic, to join our Assets Team based in Wangara WA. This role will have you reporting to the Asset & Logistic Manager, working on our Asphalt Production plants and Mobile machinery. The suitable candidate will be experienced, preferably with boiler maker experience within the construction industry and with experience working on trucks and light vehicles would be advantageous.

• Machine readiness for site
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Communicate with operators regarding issues with machinery
• Troubleshoot breakdowns
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Intermediate welding tasks
• Check and sign off on Apprentice's works
• Complete complex automotive/plant repairs
• Disassemble engines and hydraulics
• Maintain Works Program
• Assist Asset Manager in Supplier Invoicing and Internal Invoicing
• Willingness to Learn
• Fit for labour
• Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
• Excellent communication
• A positive attitude and commitment towards safety
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
• Knowledge of electrical components
• Basic welding knowledge
• Basic knowledge of Asset Management System

Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Boiler Maker experience preferable

Qualifications

• Relevant Trade Certificate
• Mobile Plant Technician and or HD Mechanic
• HR/MR License
• Forklift ticket
• Working at Heights ticket
• Confined Spaces Ticket
• White Card

Other

• Australian working rights
• Regular drug and alcohol testing
