About the Role

A leading Australian IT and cyber consultancy with over two decades of industry expertise is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure cloud solutions for enterprise and government clients. This hybrid role provides the chance to work on national-scale projects while enjoying the flexibility to balance professional growth with lifestyle.

What You'll Do

  • Design and deploy secure architectures across Azure, AWS, and hybrid platforms.
  • Deliver Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, and CloudFormation.
  • Automate pipelines and optimise CI/CD with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline.
  • Apply Zero Trust security and compliance frameworks (Essential Eight, IRAP, GDPR, PCI DSS).
  • Lead cloud migration and transformation programs from strategy through to implementation.
  • Coach engineers, develop governance standards, and create reusable templates.
  • Champion FinOps practices to drive efficiency and cost optimisation.

What You'll Bring

  • Vast experience in cloud architecture or security engineering.
  • Hands-on expertise with Azure and AWS platforms, networking, and identity.
  • Strong grasp of compliance and governance in regulated environments.
  • Proficiency with automation and observability tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and consulting skills.
  • Industry certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-500, or AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
  • Baseline security clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
