Director Of Care

Brimlea Aged Care is located in quiet Murrumbeena,  minutes by foot from two train stations and a short walk from the iconic Chadstone Shopping Centre.

As the Director of Care, you will lead clinical excellence in our thriving privately owned residential care home. You will step into a pivotal role, reporting to the Director of Operations, and shape standards, culture, and outcomes across a highly respected residential facility.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead high quality care, effective risk management, and continuous improvement in clinical service delivery.

· Partner with residents/families for safe, person-centred care.

· Maintain positive, clear, and constructive communications with key stakeholders.

· Own clinical governance: audits, legislation compliance, continuous improvement, clinical policies and procedures.

· Provide strong clinical leadership to nursing, allied health, and diversional therapy staff. This includes supporting recruitment and onboarding care and clinical staff, managing performance, and enhancing staff engagement.

· Oversee rostering for skill mix and sufficiency.

· Address clinical care risks and incidents, including restrictive practices and reportable events under the Serious Incident Response Scheme.

· Oversee correct claiming processes under AN-ACC or future funding models to ensure revenue optimisation.

· Partner with the Board and management team on strategic planning, service innovation, quality assurance, and compliance with the Aged Care Act, Quality of Care Principles and Aged Care Quality Standards.

About you

· AHPRA Registered Nurse

· years clinical leadership in a residential aged care home

· Strong compliance/governance and care-planning expertise

· Confident people leader with resource management experience

· Possess qualifications as an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Lead
