Centre for Neurosurgery, an established private brain and spine practice is seeking an accredited practising Nutritionist/Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team.

About us:The Centre for Neurosurgery team provides specialised care and surgical services for brain and spine related conditions.  Our team currently comprises neurosurgeons, assessing doctors, pain management specialists, an interventional neuroradiologist, physiotherapists and clinical support staff.  We aim to enhance our patients' wellbeing and quality of life.

The opportunity:The suitable candidate will have access to a patient referral base from our in-house medical and health professionals and consult patients in our consulting rooms.

In this role you will be required to provide individual nutrition and dietetic support/advice/plans to our patients for pre and post surgery situations and for conservative pain management.  This includes but is not limited to weight loss to prepare patients for potential future surgery, to supplement pain management plans, nutrition plan for       on-going health and recovery post-surgery etc.

What we are looking for:

*A practising Nutritionist/Dietitian with relevant tertiary qualifications in the area of Nutrition and Dietetics

*Experience in nutritional assessment, intervention, and monitoring in a clinical setting

*Active participation in multidisciplinary teams to deliver care in collaboration with medical and other health professionals including physiotherapists

*Excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills

*Commitment to ongoing continual professional development

*Ability to enhance patient outcomes through the integration of nutrition care into overall treatment plans

*Ability to keep excellent records that meet best practice and can contribute to written reports in a concise, professional, appropriate way

*You will have proven ability to work independently under limited direction, prioritise workload and manage time effectively to deliver on patient needs, complete tasks and report back in team meetings

*Personal interest in both food and clinical dietetics
