Holding more than 12,500 lines of product, Eastern Distributors is seeking a motivated team player that works well under pressure, has attention to detail and takes pride in their work.

About the Role

We are currently looking for experienced Warehouse pickers to be based out of our Carole Park DC.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all orders are processed efficiently and that business timelines/KPI's are met or exceeded.
  • Utilize handheld units (RF Scanners) to Pick and pack according to the Warehouse Management System.
  • Inspect items to ensure they're not damaged, faulty, or short dated, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
  • Check and handle products with care and pride.
  • Pick to fulfil customer orders in inventory systems, as required.
  • Placing containers on pallets, and securing with stretch wrap, shrink wrap and strapping.
  • Assist as required by management with sorting, counting, receiving into WMS-Pronto and palletising of stock in the warehouse.
  • Assist as required by Management with stock replenishment, ensuring stock levels on picking shelves are maintained and monitor stock inventory.
  • Perform stocktakes as and when required on all products in the warehouse, as well as participate in scheduled cycle counts.
  • Maintain a safe, clean workspace and environment.
  • Practice good housekeeping.
  • Wear PPE.
  • Adhere to Company Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies, and procedures.
  • Undertake necessary training to operate warehouse machinery and perform basic maintenance of warehouse machinery.
  • Operate a Forklift truck in and around the workplace.

  • Be physically fit, have good physical strength, stamina and be able to comfortably lift 20KG's.

  • Carry out other duties as assigned by Management. And

  • Ship and fulfil customer orders in inventory systems, as required.
  • Assist with unloading containers, sorting, counting, receiving into WMS-Pronto and palletising of stock in the warehouse.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies as and when required in a timely manner.
  • A Forklift license (LF) Essential (LO) Prefered.
