Apprentice Greenkeeper

Emerald Lakes Golf Club is a premier golfing destination located in the heart of the Gold Coast, just 7km from Surfers Paradise and 25 minutes from Gold Coast Airport. Home to a Graham Marsh-designed 18-hole championship course, full driving range, practice facilities, coaching centre, and 18-hole mini golf, Emerald Lakes is a leader in the Australian golf industry.

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Greenkeeper to join our dynamic and professional course maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career in sports turf management and gain a nationally recognised Certificate III in Sports Turf Management, while working on one of the Gold Coast's most well-presented courses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the daily maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and landscaped areas
• Operate turf machinery under supervision, including mowers, utility vehicles, and line trimmers
• Participate in course preparation for social and competition play
• Support irrigation repairs, pest and weed control, and turf renovation activities
• Follow safety guidelines and assist in maintaining a clean and organised work environment
• Attend and complete off-site training and assessments as part of your apprenticeship

About You:

• Genuinely interested in turf management, green-keeping, or working outdoors
• Enthusiastic, hardworking, and eager to learn new skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow direction
• Willingness to work early mornings and rostered weekend shifts
• Hold a current driver's license
• Completion of Year 10 (minimum); prior work experience or pre-apprenticeship training in horticulture/turf is desirable but not essential
