Hughes Engineering is experiencing significant growth and taking on long-term projects across the Goldfields. We're actively seeking skilled & experienced Industrial Painter - Blasters to join our team for both mine site-based and workshop projects in Kalgoorlie and the surrounding Goldfields region.

About the Role: We're looking for experienced Industrial Spray-Painting specialists who ideally have a strong background working in the mining industry, preferably a wealth of knowledge & practical application working on Structural Steel.

IMPORTANT: We really are seeking EXPERIENCE in both Spray Painting and Sandblasting; this is important to our company for these roles as we are hitting the ground running with ongoing and upcoming Workshop & Site Based Projects that require skill and practical understanding. We are also known in the Goldfields for our expertise in applying Polyurea coating application, experience in this application is highly desired.

These roles also expand into Ultra High-Pressure Water Blasting as this forms a part of our scope of work preparation for many of our key projects, particularly tank refurbishments. UHP operator ticket is not essential to apply however advantageous; alternatively, this would be a training opportunity for additional qualifications for the right candidate.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in industrial painting and abrasive blasting with mine site experience. Experience in Polyurea coatings application highly desirable.
• Minimum 3-5 years of industrial painting experience is required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of abrasive blasting experience is required.
• National Police Clearance (must meet site approval standards for multiple Tier 1 Gold Mining Sites).
• Valid certifications: Working at Heights (within 2 years), Confined Space (within 2 years), GAS Testing (preferred), White Card (Construction), High Risk License (LF, EWP).
• UHP Operator Ticket (preferred).
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical.
