Bob's Your Uncle is a modern Australian café restaurant with a fresh take on Asian fusion—combining traditional flavors with a modern twist. Our thoughtfully curated menu features exquisite dishes crafted with high quality ingredients, presented in a relaxed cafe setting.

About the role

This role is required to work approximately 38 hours a week. Main duties include assisting with daily services, preparation and cook of ingredients, maintaining par levels and assisting head chef with managing kitchen staff. Working hours will be 5 days a week on a rotating roster. Weekend availability is a must.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Asian fusion cuisine is a must
  • Strong passion for creating and delivering high-quality dishes
  • Experience in menu and recipe development, budgeting, and execution
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environments
  • Collaborative team player with a supportive and positive attitude
  • Skilled in training, mentoring, and supervising junior kitchen staff
  • Able to monitor portion and waste control
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Solid knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety regulations
