Casual Educator & Early Childhood Teacher – Busy Bees on Furlong Road

Location: Queanbeyan, NSW

Licensed Capacity: 75 places

Hourly Rates:

  • Casual Educator: $35.35 – $43.54 (including 25% casual loading)
  • Early Childhood Teacher (ECT): $41.83 – $57.87 per hour (based on level and experience)
  • ECT delivering Kindergarten program: $47.06 – $65.10 per hour (with additional leave benefits)

About the Roles

Busy Bees on Furlong Road is looking for passionate and dedicated Casual Educators and Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs) to join our supportive team. With a licensed capacity of 75 children, our centre provides a warm and engaging environment where children can thrive, and educators can grow.

As a Casual Educator, you will:

  • Support daily routines and assist with room leadership when required
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with children and families
  • Contribute to safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environments
  • Provide flexibility to cover shifts on short notice

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality educational programs aligned to EYLF and NQS
  • Lead intentional teaching and reflective practice in your classroom
  • Partner with families to support each child's individual learning journey
  • Mentor and collaborate with fellow educators
  • Deliver the Kindergarten program (where applicable)

What You'll Need
  • Casual Educator: Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
  • Early Childhood Teacher: Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
  • Current Working with Children Check (NSW)
  • NESA Accreditation (Provisional or Full) as required in NSW
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification
  • Knowledge of EYLF and NQS
  • Full Australian working rights
