St Leonards, New South Wales, Australia Videocraft Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Videocraft is Australia's leading provider of professional video and broadcast television production equipment as well as live production and post-production systems.  Due to continued growth we require the immediate services of a keen and experienced video and broadcasting equipment Technician to join our Rentals team.

The Role

Varied and dynamic. You'll be answering customer enquiries, advising on equipment choices, quoting and taking bookings, preparing and checking a wide range of broadcast and cinema video gear and systems, testing new ideas, and more. Maybe you're out doing a delivery or on a production job providing tech support. Some days may be quieter but this is a dynamic environment and it can get busy quickly. You'll probably need to provide some technical support to a customer and you will certainly be preparing rentals documentation and ensuring 100% accuracy is maintained at all times.

This is a full-time role based from our Sydney office in St Leonards.

About You

We are seeking a pro-active, responsible, motivated person with a drive, aptitude and willingness to expand your knowledge and skills in a dynamic project driven environment.

The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in film and TV production technology, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage complex equipment setups while also focusing on providing outstanding customer service.

  • genuine interest and understanding in technology and the curiosity to know more
  • proven ability in customer facing roles – a hands-on role in rentals or an operational environment in the video production industry or with a technology retailer would be a great advantage
  • fitness and enthusiasm along with a desire to succeed
  • ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • technical aptitude and solid computer skills
  • attention to detail is essential in every aspect of this role
  • strong organisational and prioritising skills
  • current driving licence

Recent experience in a similar role or recent relevant product knowledge would be a distinct advantage, although we will consider applicants who can demonstrate genuine passion for and aptitude with video equipment and the industry.
