The Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate
Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Manager
to lead the development and implementation of our ESG strategy across our business. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring sustainability is embedded into every level of our business, from supply chain to product innovation. In this role you'll work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to drive environmental, ethical, and social initiatives, ensuring compliance, transparency, and impact. You'll be the driving force behind our efforts to reduce environmental impact, ensure ethical practices, and align with global standards. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance long-term vision with practical execution, working across teams to ensure ESG goals are met, tracked, and communicated clearly both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities include:
Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Develop and implement ESG policies and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Collect, analyse, and report sustainability data including carbon metrics
  • Manage internal and external ESG audits and disclosures
  • Monitor ESG performance across supply chain and operations
  • Oversee responsible sourcing and supplier ESG evaluation
  • Lead initiatives to reduce environmental impact and drive product innovation
  • Implement circularity and waste reduction strategies
  • Collaborate with marketing on sustainability communications
  • Provide ESG training and support stakeholder engagement
  • Assist in delivering Oroton's sustainability programs and targets

What we are looking for:

  • A background in fashion retail, ideally with vertically integrated supply chains
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in sustainability, environmental science, or related fields
  • Proven experience in ESG or sustainability roles within corporate environments
  • Strong knowledge of ESG regulations, reporting frameworks, and responsible sourcing
  • Experience managing data, carbon assessments, and sustainability metrics
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with a commitment to driving positive change
