About the role…
The role offered is for a speech pathologist to join the House of Speech team and provide online speech pathology services in a semi-rural location.
This role will be providing speech pathology services via telehealth. It is suited to an independent person who feels confident in their general abilities and is open to learning and growing. This telehealth role is different to traditional telehealth in clients homes, as we have therapy assistants in the rural location who are there to support throughout the session. You will run sessions in collaboration with a therapy assistant, as well as taking on a mentoring role and allowing the therapy assistant to deliver intervention, with feedback to follow.
The role can be flexible based on employee wants and needs. This role could be offered as a contracted agreement for a percentage of clinical fees, or a full-time salary employee.
This role will be a paediatric caseload, however, if you have an interest in seeing adult clients there are options for this also.
Within the role, you will provide telehealth services, mentor therapy assistants delivering group programs and engage in parent coaching and training. You will also be doing non face-to-face work through completing therapy plans for the therapy assistants to deliver.
Your work day will be based around your preferred service delivery modes to best suit you and your working style.
Remuneration Options…
Various remuneration schemes are on offer for the right candidate.
The following options are presented:
- Part time employee
- Independent Contractor for 50% of clinical fees, or an Hourly Rate
- Options for FIFO or alternating schedule where you work 2-3 weeks and get a week off
Employment Term:
Options for part time, or contracted. Minimum of 2-3 days per week is preferable.
Fortnightly Mentoring with Senior Speech Pathologist
Within your role, you will have access to weekly mentoring with an external senior speech pathologist, as well as internal senior speech pathologists. These mentors have extensive clinical support for paediatrics. Mentoring also provided through group mentoring programs and $1500 PD allowance.

House of Speech is seeking a Speech Pathologist who is able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the assessment and intervention approaches for a paediatric caseload.
- Work independently and manage their day to day effectively
- Connect with a multidisciplinary team and communicate with stakeholders.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop
- Ability to support and mentor therapy assistants
