We are currently looking for a Lending Officer and the primary duties involved the provision of administrative support to the Assistant Relationship Manager and Relationship Manager of the branch, and to further developing relationships with our clients. This is a permanent role based in Bankstown, NSW.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the Relationship Manager and monitoring credit reports that cover arrears, excesses, maturities and preparation of arrears letters
- Ensure excess report and credit decisions are actioned in accordance with the Bank's Credit procedures
- Liaise with the Credit Department on loan applications
- Completion and follow up on post-loan approval activities
- Arrange Baycorp Credit inquiries and other credit checking procedures
- Collection and process of all Loan Fees
- Reconciliation of Branch Suspense Assets accounts
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:
- At least two years' work experience as a Lending Officer or similar role in a banking industry
- Good understanding of legislation & codes of conduct pertaining to lending, including the National Consumer Credit Code, Privacy Act, Cheques & payment Act, AUSTRAC and Fair Trading Practices Act
- Effective listening skills and capability to build rapport with stakeholders
- Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail
