Engineering Technologist

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a full-time Engineering Technologist to join our engineering and manufacturing team on afternoon shift. You'll interpret job orders, plan cutting layouts, and work closely with other departments to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reporting to the Production Manager, the Nester performs daily duties on the computer preparing jobs digitally working in Prime Cut Software.
• Organizing parts for cutting to optimize the use of full sheets of steel to cut down on waste.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality assurance standards.
• Assist in materials planning, estimating, and workflow optimization.
• Contribute to technical documentation and reporting.
• Use software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, PrimeCut, and Bystronic for nesting and part development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Diploma of Engineering – Technical or related.
• Experience in manufacturing environment. (advantageous)
