Key Focus

The Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between technology solutions and business needs. In this role, you will gather and translate requirements, facilitate workshops, and drive process improvements while ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value.

You will also support Agile delivery by leading ceremonies, managing team capacity, and helping remove blockers to enable smooth delivery. With strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement expertise, and hands-on Agile experience, you will play a key role in enabling collaboration, alignment, and successful business outcomes.

The Business analyst performs the duties set out in this Position Description for Credabl and/or any Group company.

What You'll Be Doing

Business Analysis

  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business requirements, translating them into user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Facilitate workshops to co-create solutions, align on priorities, and support decision-making.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify opportunities for process optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technology, operations, marketing, risk, etc.) to design and implement solutions
  • Assist in the development of business cases and cost–benefit analyses.
  • Support testing and validation of new systems or enhancements, preparing test plans and ensuring business sign-off.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring clear communication, demos, and smooth handover to business owners with appropriate documentation and training.

Agile Delivery

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Support Business Owners in prioritising the backlog to align with business goals.
  • Assist with capacity management and release readiness by monitoring workloads, forecasting needs, and ensuring sustainable delivery pace.
  • Remove impediments to enable teams to meet sprint objectives while fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability.

What You Bring

Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Key Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements.
  • Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build consensus.
  • Proficiency in requirements documentation, process mapping, user stories, and test planning.
  • Skilled in Agile practices including backlog management, sprint planning, and capacity management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to bridge technical and business teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
  • Competence in using collaboration and project tools (e.g., JIRA, Miro, MS Office/Excel).
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using reporting and dashboards to support decision-making.

Experience

  • 3+ years as a Business Analyst or in a hybrid BA/Scrum Master/Agile Delivery role.
  • Hands-on experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with capacity planning, resource forecasting, and release management.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum) and the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Demonstrated experience in gap analysis, process optimisation, and business improvement.
  • Familiarity with testing practices including UAT and QA.
  • Experience in lending, banking, or financial services (preferred).
