Site Safety Advisors (WHS) – Commercial & High-Rise Construction Multiple Roles | Brisbane & Gold Coast | 3–5 Years' Experience Required

SafeAssure is partnering with several leading construction companies to recruit Site Safety Advisors (WHS) for major commercial and multi-residential high-rise projects across South-East Queensland.

These are hands-on, boots-on-the-ground roles supporting site teams to deliver large-scale projects safely and efficiently. We're seeking confident, capable professionals with 3–5 years' experience in WHS on vertical or commercial builds who are ready to take the next step in their career.

About the Roles You'll work as part of an on-site project team, reporting directly to the Site or Project Manager. Backed by strong HSEQ systems and mentoring, you'll drive a proactive safety culture and ensure day-to-day WHS compliance across all trades.

These positions are available on a full-time permanent or contract basis, with immediate starts available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily and weekly WHS inspections and site walkthroughs
  • Lead toolbox talks, pre-starts, and inductions
  • Review subcontractor SWMS, SOPs, and safety documentation
  • Monitor high-risk activities — including formwork, jumpform, climbing systems, cranes, and working at heights
  • Maintain site safety records and prepare WHS reports
  • Support incident investigations and ensure timely close-out of corrective actions
  • Coach and engage workers and subcontractors to strengthen site safety culture
  • Assist in developing and implementing site-specific WHS Management Plans

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum requirement)
  • 3–5 years' WHS experience in the commercial construction sector
  • Direct experience on high-rise or multi-residential projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to WHS
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Solid knowledge of WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards
  • Experience with scaffolding, cranes, working at heights, and mobile plant safety (highly regarded)
