About The Role
An opportunity has arisen in our Digital Product & Technology team for a
Mobile Product Manager.
This is your chance to lead the next generation of fan-facing mobile experiences for the AFL, driving engagement across our digital platforms, with a strong focus on the mobile app product and strategy. You'll shape, deliver, and evolve fan experiences across the AFL's mobile app suite, while collaborating on cross-platform initiatives to ensure fans are connected to the game anytime, anywhere. You'll ensure that our mobile apps deliver seamless, intuitive and high-quality experiences for fans, while also coordinating with other AFL digital platforms to ensure a cohesive and connected ecosystem.
On Any Day You May Be
- Leading the mobile product strategy by delivering the roadmap for AFL mobile apps, balance fan needs, commercial opportunities and evolving the platform long term
- Developing features and initiatives to encourage regular app usage, increase session time, strengthen connection to the game, and deliver monetization opportunities aligned with commercial objectives
- Enhancing features that drive logged-in user engagement, creating compelling value proposition for registered users, leveraging personalization strategies to deliver tailored experiences and relevant content to encourage sign-in and retention
- Analysing data to understand behavioural patterns and track funnel perform to inform product optimization
- Partnering with AFL product managers, the wider Digital teams and other departments to deliver consistent and connected fan journeys across all AFL digital touchpoints, championing the end-to-end user experience
This is a great role for a current
Product Manager
who:
- Has a strong understanding of Android and iOS ecosystems, including platform-specific UX considerations and native app capabilities
- Is skilled in mobile product management, with experience delivering large-scale consumer-facing apps
- Excels in product discovery, collaborating with UX/PX teams and translating fan feedback into actionable improvements
- Brings a commercial mindset, understanding how to balance monetisation strategies with great user experiences
- Has experience with personalisation tools or strategies, understanding how tailored content and experiences can improve engagement and retention
- Understands emerging mobile technology trends and how to assess their potential to enhance fan experiences
- Is skilled in managing vendor and delivery partner relationships, ensuring alignment on priorities, accountability, and innovation
- Can navigate complex stakeholder environments with strong communication, prioritisation, and decision-making skills
- Is passionate about building best-in-class fan experiences on mobile platforms
