Job Description: Pastry Cook

Responsibilities:

• Prepare a variety of baked goods, including traditional and contemporary Filipino pastries and breads
• Performing tasks such as kneading, maturing, cutting, molding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry products
• Coordinating the various stages of breads, loaves, rolls, cakes and pastry production including forming, loading, baking, de-panning, unloading and cooling
• Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients
• Follow recipes and techniques to ensure consistency and quality
• Develop new and innovative recipes to expand our menu offerings
• Create delicious cakes and skillfully decorate them
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Emptying, cleaning, and greasing baking trays and other baking equipment to ensure they are ready to use
• Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of baking supplies
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient production of baked goods

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a baker, with a strong portfolio of baked goods
• Knowledge of traditional Filipino baking techniques and ingredients
• Creativity and ability to develop new recipes
• Expertise in cake making and decorating
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Skills and Qualifications:

• Qualification of at least Certificate III in Patisserie or equivalent
• Food and Safety certificates
