About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, developing, and implementing advanced software solutions with a strong emphasis on scalability, design patterns, and cloud or mobile systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge, reliable, and efficient systems that align with our strategic objectives. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers, conduct rigorous code reviews, and stay abreast of industry advancements to foster continuous improvement and drive product innovation.

This role plays a key part in building high-quality, user-centric applications using modern technologies including Typescript and - AWS Lambda functions, docker, serverless frameworks and CDK - AWS SQS/SNS and EventBridge - AWS Aurora and DynamoDB - GraphQL Api and S3

How you will make an impact

• Design, develop, implement and deliver software solution according according to development standards and agreeable timelines
• Architect scalable and robust systems to support the company's growing needs and ensure high performance and reliability.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and advocate for best practices to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools to drive innovation and enhance the company's technical capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, analyze performance bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve system efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and coding standards.

Experience needed

• Extensive Software Development Experience:
  Proven experience in software development, with a strong understanding of programming languages and software development methodologies.
• Design Patterns Proficiency:
  Demonstrated proficiency in applying design patterns to create scalable and maintainable software solutions.
• Cloud and Mobile Expertise:
  Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and/or mobile system development.
• Agile Methodologies:
  Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, ensuring efficient and iterative development processes.
• Problem-Solving Skills:
  Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Effective Communication:
  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Version Control Systems:
  Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Database Management:
  Strong knowledge of database management systems and SQL.
