About the role
The engineer needs to be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, or has a full-time work rights with a strong structural engineering qualification suitable for joining IEAust.
You would have completed designs using Australian Standards and be proficient in the use of SpaceGass and Structural Toolkit, together with being able to CAD draft.
Site inspection experience is an added advantage.
You will liaise closely and directly with clients, draftsmen, senior engineers and develop new clients. Good communication skills to deal with clients and builders during the projects are essential.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Carry out structural engineering designs in concrete, steel, timber & aluminium
Provide sketches / CAD drawings for the work.
Supervise / liaise with draftsman
Liaise with clients
Liaise with senior engineers for job review and training
Prepare quotes, invoices and other administration duties as required

Skills and experience
Master's degree in structural engineering preferred.
2 to 4 years' experience in residential, commercial or temporary works
Capable of working in a team and learning new skills like temporary works
Prepared to teach and help others
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
