Shell V-Power Motorsport Park (The Bend) and Mallala Motorsport Park are seeking an experienced Motorsport Operations 2IC to support the Motorsport and Operations Manager in delivering all motorsport and operational activity in line with strategic business objectives.

This full-time position plays a vital role in the end-to-end planning, management, and delivery of motorsport events across both sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Mallala Motorsport Park

Mallala Motorsport Park, founded in 1961 to host the Australian Grand Prix, is South Australia's motorsport heritage icon. Known for hosting events such as the Australian Touring Car Championship and the All Historic Mallala race meeting, the 2.6km circuit continues to thrive with driver training, practice sessions, and drifting. In 2022, the park added go-karting to its offerings, enriching its legacy of innovation and excitement. Together with Shell V-Power Motorsport Park, Mallala is part of a family dedicated to preserving motorsport history while delivering thrilling, modern experiences.

What will you be responsible for?

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Coordinate and deliver national and state-level motorsport events, including circuit racing, dragway, and karting.
• Oversee staff rostering, training, and on-event performance.
• Manage compliance with motorsport sanctioning bodies and draft event regulations.
• Plan and execute all operational aspects of events, including scheduling, logistics, and competitor liaison.
• Build and monitor competitor entry systems and manage budgets against event KPIs.
• Act as the primary contact for competitors, teams, and officials during event planning and delivery.
• Drive new business opportunities across motorsport, accommodation, and conferencing.
• Support stakeholder engagement, including sponsors, commercial partners, and government bodies.
• Step into the Motorsport & Operations Manager role when required.

With proven experience in venue or event operations, you take initiative, lead by example, and consistently deliver to a high standard. You excel at coordinating teams, managing compliance requirements, and ensuring that every event runs safely and efficiently. Your hands-on leadership, strong communication skills, and commitment to quality make you a valuable contributor in fast-paced, high-performance environments.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

• Proven experience in motorsport or event operations (minimum 3 years)
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
• Sound understanding of motorsport regulations, compliance, and event logistics
• Financial acumen and experience in budget oversight
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong attention to detail
