The Senior Scientist – Quality Coordinator role is responsible for supporting a small team of scientists with varying levels of knowledge and skills, by providing technical expertise and command of specialised techniques within Forensic Histology. This is a full time role for 12 months, may be a possible extension.

Seeking a competent and team paticipant who will join our team with passion and enthusiasm where no two days are the same.

Key competencies (role specific criteria)

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:

  • Applies high level evidence – based practice leading service quality and improvement activities and contribute to the development of technical competence.
  • Established specialised knowledge and skills in complex contemporary Forensic Histology practices including coordination and management of retained autopsy tissue specimens.
  • Demonstrated high level of knowledge and understanding of the day-to-day operations in a Forensic Histology laboratory.
  • Demonstrated high level experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) used in FPaCS
  • Demonstrated high level communication skills and ability to liaise with external stakeholders.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills including conflict resolution, negotiation and influencing competencies.
  • Demonstrated high – level ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in training, education and quality.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership ability and contribution to the development of others.

Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
