Job Description - Electrical Production Technician
PowerStack: 100% off-grid Vertical Solar Technology for Smart Infrastructure
- Location: South Sydney - Office Based
- Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Salaried Position
Are you an Electrical Production Technician looking for an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge renewable energy technology? Join our award-winning solar power pole company, where innovation meets sustainability. We're seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for electrical design and smart infrastructure to be part of our dynamic team.
What is PowerStack?
PowerStack modular solar poles are a sustainable, cost-effective way to power safety, security, and smart technologies for commercial and community projects. With totally off-grid vertical solar, you can power lighting, cameras, wireless sensors, communications networks and more, all without the time or expense of running traditional electrical infrastructure. The unique modular design means PowerStack can be installed almost anywhere, and is optimised to capture maximum sunlight for each location. Reliable, 24/7 power on the ground, that doesn't cost the earth.
Installed in under an hour by a two-person team, built to last with a 10 year limited warranty, and delivering a 5 day power back-up, PowerStack is solar, reimagined.
Over the past 12 months, the company has grown rapidly, taking on industry leading distribution and channel partners across the lighting and security industries. In a scale-up phase, we've achieved a lot with a small team and are now looking to expand production capabilities as our pipeline grows.
The Role
We're looking for an electrical assembly and production team member who is keen to grow their career. Prior experience with
electrical and wiring
systems is advantageous but not essential as full product and production training will be provided. Typical responsibilities include:
- Manufacture of solar poles: Production and assembly of core external components to build solar pole systems.
- Electrical system assembly: Assemble and configure the electrical systems that power our solar poles.
- Quality assurance & testing: Conduct rigorous testing to ensure product quality and functionality.
- Testing and assessment: Testing and evaluating third party electrical devices for compatibility and aiding with electrical system design.
- Sourcing and procurement: Helping with pick up and good delivery/receiving.
- Onsite installation & maintenance: Participate in the installation and maintenance of solar power poles at client sites.
- Office administration: General business admin and processing.
What's in it for you
- Career growth: Opportunities to expand your skills and grow within the company as we scale.
- Strong remuneration: Competitive salary package based on experience and skills.
- Collaborative culture: Work in a supportive and innovative team environment.
- Travel opportunities: Domestic travel for installation and servicing with the potential for domestic and international travel for events.
If you're passionate about renewable energy and meet these requirements, we'd love to hear from you
