The Role
We are looking for multiple support workers to fill the current vacancy
As a Disability Support Worker, you'll be providing vital care and support to individuals with varying needs. Whether you prefer shorter shifts or longer hours, we have flexibility to fit your lifestyle. We're looking for people who have the heart, drive, and skills to make a positive impact in the lives of others. While experience in disability support is a plus, we're also excited to train individuals who are eager to learn and grow in the role.
What You'll Do:
- Support with daily living tasks like personal care, household chores, and meal preparation.
- Assist clients in engaging with community activities, from gym visits to appointments and shopping.
- Provide both practical and emotional support to individuals with high-intensity needs.
- Offer companionship and motivate clients to develop new skills and hobbies.
- Document your shift and attend regular team training to improve your skills.
About You:
We're looking for team members who are compassionate, reliable, and proactive. Here's who we think would be a great fit for the role:
- Comfortable working shorter shifts (2–4 hours) as well as longer shifts (4–10 hours), and travelling between clients' homes.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
- Capable of doing both active and inactive sleepover shifts when required.
- Willing and available to work early morning shifts starting from 6:30am.
- Knowledge or experience with bowel care is highly advantageous.
- Trained in manual handling and confident with safe work practices is advantageous.
- Ready to bring your skills, learn new ones, and contribute to a dynamic team.
- Available for an immediate start and eager to jump into a fulfilling career.
