About the Role:

This is a diverse role that blends skilled painting with efficient materials handling to keep our workshop and projects moving. From prepping and painting structural steel to loading, moving, and tracking materials, you'll be key to ensuring every finished product meets our industry-leading standards.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Preparing steel surfaces — cleaning, blasting, sanding, masking, priming
  • Applying protective and decorative coatings (spray, roller, or brush)
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting steel and finished products
  • Safely storing and handling paints, thinners, and related materials
  • Recording and tracking job progress in company systems
  • Operating workshop, painting, and handling equipment (after training)
  • Performing quality checks and maintaining painting tools/equipment
  • Supporting other trades to meet project deadlines
What We're Looking For:
  • Valid driver's licence, attention to detail, strong safety focus
  • Experience in painting (spray and/or brush/roller)
  • Understanding of surface prep techniques (cleaning, sanding, priming)
  • Ability to handle and move materials safely (forklift licence is a bonus)
  • Good physical strength, stamina, and teamwork skills
  • Basic maths and computer skills for mixing ratios and tracking work
  • Professional presentation and self-motivation
