Our M&A & Capital Markets team is widely recognised in providing strategic and legal advice for international and domestic clients on complex mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.

Operating internationally and domestically, we are a market leading corporate practice with extensive experience in advising boards of directors, commercial and legal teams, in both friendly and hostile transactions M&A (both public and private), Private Equity, Capital Markets and Corporate Advisory. We are the trusted advisors to international and local clients across a range of industry sectors including Financial and Business Services, Food and Agribusiness, Real Estate, Technology, Education, Government, Health & Aged Care, Infrastructure and Energy & Resources.

Your Opportunity

Due to significant growth in M&A and ECM activity, we have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join the M&A and Capital Markets team in Melbourne. This role offers the opportunity to work across Public and/or Private M&A, Equity Capital Markets, Private Equity and Corporate Advisory for domestic and international clients.

You will be empowered to grow and develop at each stage of your career as a corporate lawyer through our tailored learning & development programs. You will have the opportunity to build your practice and personal brand through business development and leadership and client skills sessions. 

More About You

We welcome applications from Senior Associate or Special Counsel who are based in Melbourne and have:

• 6+ years' experience within Public and/or Private M&A, Private Equity, Equity Capital Markets and/or Corporate Advisory
• Private practice experience, gained at a reputable law firm in Australia or overseas
• Strong technical ability and drafting skills
• Demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts
• A team player attitude and the ability to mentor junior lawyers in the group
• Resilience and a commitment to provide exceptional levels of service to our local and international client base
