Who is Refined Living

Refined Living Joinery is a small to medium sized joinery located in Northgate, manufacturing commercial joinery, architectural timber and high-end timber furniture. We operate a modern factory with a team of highly skilled tradesman and craftsman. Refined Living Joinery are growing the commercial joinery side of the business and are on the search for the next member of our team.

We are seeking an Experienced Drafter to join our team, specialising in the production of commercial joinery. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, hands-on industry knowledge, and a commitment to accuracy and quality. Strong understanding building and maintaining program libraries an advantage.

About the Role:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate shop drawings for cabinetry and timber furniture.
  • Work closely with the design and production teams to translate concepts into practical, build-ready plans.
  • Ensure all drawings meet specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
  • Operate and prepare files for CNC machinery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve technical challenges in both design and production.
  • Maintain strong communication with workshop and installation teams.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microvellum or Cabinet Vision is essential.
  • Experience operating CNC machines is essential.
  • At least 2 years' experience in cabinetry, joinery, or related drafting roles.
  • Strong understanding of cabinetmaking processes, construction methods, and materials.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
