THE ROLE
The Reporting Analyst supports the delivery of high-quality data analysis and performance reporting relating to the department's service agreements with funded organisations. Working under the guidance of the Manager, Service Agreement Performance Analysis, the role contributes to the effective oversight of service delivery by leveraging data insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
This position plays a key role in maintaining and operating analytical systems, business intelligence tools, and collaborating across the department to gather contextual information to ensure the accuracy and relevance of reporting outputs. By applying both qualitative and quantitative data analysis, the Reporting Analyst helps identify trends, risks and opportunities within the service agreement ecosystem, ensuring insights are clear, actionable and aligned with departmental objectives.
The position also collaborates with stakeholders and contributes to the design, development and testing of business improvement and reporting enhancements to streamline and automate analytical functions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Extract, analyse and interpret data from the Service Agreement Management System (SAMS2) and other relevant sources to support performance reporting and contract management activities.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely performance reports, dashboards and analysis to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
- Contribute to the development and review of performance measures, reporting methodologies and benchmarking practices in consultation with team members and stakeholders.
