With a Reliability Centre workshop located in Gladstone, QLD, FITT Resources provides products and services to the construction, mining, mineral processing, power, energy, water generation pulp and paper and defence industries. FITT Resources provide a comprehensive range of services including project management, repair and upgrade, fabrication, construction, installation and maintenance, specialising in rotating machinery and asset management.

Due to continuous and fast growth, we currently have multiple full time vacancies for experienced Mechanical Fitters with rotating equipment experience to join our Gladstone team. To succeed in this role you will be a self-motivated individual, able to work autonomously or as part of a team within a dynamic work environment. You will have a "can do" attitude, able to  problem solve individually or as part of a team effort to overcome challenges.

  • Strip and assess a variety of single and multi-stage pumps, valves and auxiliary equipment
  • Inspect and measure components to close tolerances
  • Create comprehensive strip survey reports with failure analysis and rectification recommendations, complete with a photographic record of your findings
  • Assemble with high attention to detail fore-mentioned equipment

Experience in the refurbishing of industrial pumps, gearboxes, turbines and valves is preferred.

The ability to machine components using a lathe, mill or horizontal borer would be seen as an advantage.

Required Qualifications

  • Certificate III or IV in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
  • Full Australian drivers' license (C )

  • Confined space trained
  • Dangerous work safety trained
  • Forklift license
  • MR truck license
  • High Risk work License Dogging
