Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, a Cabinet maker is responsible for the performance and output of the furniture and joinery items from the Armidale factory, in terms of speed, quality, accuracy, skills development and teamwork. This position is an integral part of the work team that produces and assembles product in accordance with set production schedules.
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone to work in a factory that can assemble pre-machined parts. Parts come on a trolley with edging and drill holes ready to be assembled. A qualification in Cabinet making is not required if they have experience in cabinetry and curved laminating, glued Mitres, etc. Onsite installation experience is not required.
Description:
- To construct furniture and joinery cabinets in accordance with established schedules by
- Maintaining appropriate levels of material at their assembly site
- Producing at an appropriate level of production required to meet established schedules
- Checking job sheets against cut lists and/or Plan as to highlight possible inconsistencies in product design to minimise mistakes and produce product in accordance with clients wishes
- Uphold all WHS policies and procedures
- Keep area clean and monitor hazardous obstructions
- Ensure tools are maintained appropriately and are used correctly
- Highlight material shortages as and when they become known
