About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced and resilient Support Workers/ AIN's/ RN's to work with a high-needs, complex client with a spinal cord injury and co-occurring mental health challenges.

This role involves supporting the participant in his fully accessible home, which includes modified bathrooms, kitchen, and bedroom to accommodate his wheelchair and assistive equipment.

You will assist with:

  • Personal care and hoisting
  • Meal preparation and household tasks
  • Emotional support and mental health awareness
  • Community access and transport

This client can be challenging to work with and requires a support worker who is calm under pressure, consistent, and capable of maintaining strong professional boundaries.

Availability

  • Two shifts per day (approximately 7–8 hours each),
  • 7 days a week available — flexible rostering options can be discussed.

Pay & Conditions

  • $47.17 to $51.81 per hour (casual rate)
  • Potential to transition to full-time employment if the arrangement is suitable and ongoing.

Requirements

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Driver's licence and reliable vehicle
  • Experience with hoisting and personal care preferred
  • Background or interest in mental health or complex behaviour support
  • Reliability, emotional intelligence, and professionalism
