About the role

Cairns construction is seeking a driven and ambitious Apprentice Carpenter to join our team in Perth, WA. As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow within a supportive and collaborative environment. This full-time role will allow you to develop your carpentry skills while working alongside experienced tradespeople.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting qualified Carpenters with a variety of construction and renovation tasks
  • Learning how to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Developing proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
  • Participating in the installation of fixtures, fittings, and cabinetry
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures

What we're looking for

  • A keen interest in the Carpentry and Cabinet Making trade
  • Complete beginners are welcome to apply as no prior carpentry experience is required
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good physical fitness and manual dexterity
  • A willingness to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • A valid driver's licence is preferred
  • Applicants must be between 17-18 years of age
  • Minimum Year 10 education level is required
  • Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required
