About the role

This is a full-time Supervisor role based in Croydon South, VIC 3136 at CMA Roofing, a leading construction company in the local area. As a Supervisor, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of construction projects, overseeing a team of skilled tradespeople and coordinating all on-site activities.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervising and coordinating the work of construction crews to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
  • Scheduling and allocating tasks to team members, monitoring progress and taking corrective action as needed
  • Ensuring all construction activities adhere to relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing effective solutions
  • Mentoring and developing team members to enhance their skills and capabilities

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience (5+ years) as a Supervisor or Foreperson in the construction industry, preferably in the metal roofing sector
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials and equipment used in metal roofing projects
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints and specifications
  • Proficient in the use of construction management software and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with team members, clients and other stakeholders
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating teams to deliver high-quality results
  • Relevant construction-related qualifications or certifications
