Altitude1148 is a fine dining restaurant located in the Southern Gateway Centre, which is 20 mins North from the Wollongong CBD at Bulli Tops. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Part-Time Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a keen interest in both Australian seafood and Indian curries.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to our menu and standards
  • Ensure the highest quality and presentation of food
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for cooking
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • The candidate is required to have their own transport as the venue is not accessible via public transport.
  • Food handling certification will be a bonus.
