Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating construction projects from installation to client handover. They develop project plans and budgets, manage project progress, coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, ensure compliance with building codes and permits, and build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, employees and contractors.
Your initial project will be in the Victorian Central Highlands so local candidates are encourages to apply. The roster will be based on a 3:1 for non local appointee.
Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans and budgets that align with project goals
- Establish project team with other construction professionals
- Manage project progress, timelines, and budgets
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment
- Ensure compliance with building codes and permits
- Review and approve construction project designs and plans
- Ensure construction work is carried out within budget, timelines, and quality standards
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and provide regular training to workers
- Manage and lead project teams, providing guidance, support, and direction to all staff involved in the project
Qualifications:
- Mechanical or electrical background (Trade or Degree)
- Diploma in Project Management, or equivalent combination of technical qualifications and relevant industry experience
- Project Management certification
Skills and Experience:
- 5 or more years' experience Project Management experience, wind preferable not essential.
- Must have experience in managing projects of $50M + in value
- Experience with Multi-discipline work force
- Teams up to personnel
- Contract and commercial management experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage budgets and timelines
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Understanding of electrical, and mechanical scopes in wind farm construction
- Solid knowledge of safety and compliance standards
- Safety first approach
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and contractors.
