Position: Bartender

Location: Launceston CBD, Tasmania

Employment Type: Casual, because we know you're scared of commitment

Salary: Hospitality Award Rate – Level 3 + tips

Hours: Up to 25 hours, Friday to Sunday and the occasional mid week shifts

Alright hotshot, think you can work a bar? Hope so, because we need someone who actually can. We're a new cocktail lounge in Kingsway, Launceston CBD, called Martinis Cocktail Lounge- so original and creative, right?

You'll need… let's say… at least 3 years' experience behind a bar, making drinks? More is better, but we'll give some of you youngbloods a chance. We hate to say it, but you will need "StrOnG cUStoMeR SeRViCe SkiLLs". None of this "what can I get you" nonsense as your opening line.

It's clear we love a bit of tongue and cheek, but we do take this seriously. The cocktail lounges gotta have good vibes, no depressing music or lack-lustre staff moving at a snail's pace. There's a bit of a nod to the 1920's scene, so think of something with a bit of old school charm, but not stiff and pompous. We're a super small team, so we're offering an opportunity for someone who knows their stuff to come on in, take responsibility and be our 2IC (meaning second in command, for anyone born post We know we said casual, but we'd be open to seeing where things go between us…

What you'll bring:

• At least 3 years of bartending experience.
• A personality and sense of humour.
• Nerd level knowledge of beer, wine and spirits.
• The ability to smile and not roll your eyes when you hear something stupid.
• An unwavering love for the job, especially when you're cleaning up someone else's mess.
