About the role
Farnhams Butchery is seeking an experienced Butcher to join our team in Wallsend, NSW. This full-time role is responsible for preparing and processing high-quality meats to provide our customers with exceptional service and produce. As Butcher, you will be a key member of our close-knit team, contributing to the overall success of our well-established and respected butchery.
What you'll be doing
- Cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products to customer specifications
- Ensuring meat is stored, handled, and displayed in accordance with food safety standards
- Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service, offering advice and recommendations
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked butchery section
- Assisting with receiving and unpacking deliveries of meat and other products
- Contributing to the overall smooth operation of the butchery
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified Butcher
- Strong knowledge of meat cuts, processing, and food safety regulations
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide expert product advice
- Keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
- Enthusiasm for the butchery trade and a passion for delivering the best possible products and service
