The Role

This role is a Permanent Part-Time role working across two of our facilities: Hale Hostel in Coolbellup and Mosman Park Care Centre in Mosman Park working 37 hours per fortnight.

Week 1 & 2:

Wednesday: Hale Hostel, Cleaning)

Thursday: Mosman Park Care Centre, Cleaning)

Friday: Mosman Park Care Centre, Kitchen Hand)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares and plates food, serves and clears away meals in line with food preparation schedules.
• Maintains the food preparation and serving areas to state hygiene standards.
• Maintains appropriate resident interactions in line with the organisational values.
• Considers resident lifestyles and personal choice.
• Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with others, utilising appropriate
• Vacuums, sweeps, dusts and mops all designated areas
• Follows cleaning schedule
• Maintains appropriate resident interactions in line with the organizational values
• Considers resident lifestyles and personal choice
• Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with others, utilizing appropriate channels for assistance guidance and concerns
• Responds to emergency cleaning requirements as directed

Essential Criteria:

• Proven organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as required.
• Demonstrated good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Passion for food preparation.
• Certificate in cooking, food preparation.
• Previous kitchen / food preparation experience within the aged care industry.
• Evidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
• Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks
