Our client, a dynamic organisation making waves in both government and non-government sectors, they are seeking a passionate and driven Senior Graphic Designer to join their talented team in Canberra. This isn't just another design role; it's an opportunity to shape visual narratives, solve complex communication challenges, and lead the creative direction on a diverse range of projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

As our Senior Graphic Designer, you'll be at the forefront of our client's visual communication strategy. You'll be:

• Leading the Charge: Taking ownership of design projects from concept to completion, making strategic design decisions with minimal supervision. Forget "let me know what you think" - you'll be confidently guiding clients through the creative process.
• Problem Solver Extraordinaire: Leveraging your strong B2B experience to translate complex information into compelling and effective visual solutions.
• Project Management Pro: Seamlessly managing timelines, resources, and client expectations to deliver exceptional results.
• Business Development Catalyst: Contributing to the growth of the organisation through your design expertise and potentially bringing your own network of clients (with significant rewards for doing so).
• Master of Many Mediums: Your skills will span across report design and typesetting, UI/UX principles, WordPress, occasional Shopify updates, real estate floor plans, and a variety of marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, logos, and business cards.
• The Authentic Engager: Building strong relationships with stakeholders from both government and non-government organisations through clear, confident communication and a genuine understanding of their objectives.
• Articulate Advocate: Confidently presenting and justifying design decisions in stakeholder meetings, demonstrating your strategic thinking and design expertise.
• Creative Collaborator: Working alongside and mentoring a supportive team of 5 other talented designers.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

• A portfolio showcasing your exceptional design skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong B2B experience with a proven track record of delivering impactful visual solutions.
• Excellent communication skills (both spoken and written English) with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly and persuasively.
• Proven ability to engage and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and business development acumen.
• Proficiency in report design, typesetting, UI/UX principles, WordPress, and ideally some experience with Shopify.
• Experience with real estate floor plan design and general marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, logos, business cards).
• The ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and lead the creative process.
• References from satisfied clients who can attest to your skills and professionalism.
• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Design (preferred).

The Perks:

• $80,000 - $95,000 per year, with flexibility for the perfect candidate.
• Bring your own book of clients and be rewarded accordingly
• Initially a 12-month fixed-term contract with a strong possibility of a permanent position for the right individual.
• Start date of July 1st, 2025, with an earlier start available for an exceptional candidate.
