We're looking for a
Storeperson/ Kitroom Associate & Courier Driver
to join our Townsville operations. This dual-role is vital to ensuring hospitals and healthcare providers receive critical medical devices and supplies, helping create better patient outcomes every single day.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role where you'll split your time between being a Kitroom Associate and a Support Driver.

  • Hours:
    Monday to Friday,
    8:00am – 4:00pm
    , with weekend work required on-call
    fortnightly
    on a rotating basis.

As a Storeperson/ Kitroom Associate, you will:

  • Assemble and prepare surgical kits to strict quality and sterile handling standards.
  • Monitor inventory, conduct stocktakes, and coordinate replenishment.
  • Maintain SOPs and best practices for safety and quality.
  • Act as a key point of contact for Townsville operations, escalating issues as required.

As a Support Driver, you will:

  • Assist with overflow deliveries and airfreight collection from the airport.
  • Safely load, unload, and transport medical products.
  • Maintain and present company provided 2 tonne van to a professional standard.
  • Follow delivery processes, including proof of delivery and chain-of-custody requirements.
  • Represent Smartways with professionalism when dealing with healthcare clients.

Who We're Looking For

  • 2–3 years' warehousing experience plus at least 2 years as a courier/delivery driver.
  • Experience in medical, kitroom, or warehouse environments (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, safety-conscious, and process-driven.
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable working independently and within a team.
  • A commitment to excellent client outcomes with an understanding of patient impact.
