Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world-famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia. Broome is easily accessible by plane to all major Australian cities and offers a relaxed lifestyle with all the conveniences of shops, restaurants, cinemas, hospital and schools. Our property has 225 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, Resort Shop and Day Spa.

We are currently seeking a suitability qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our Engineering department on a Full Time or Casual basis. Reporting to the Chief Engineer and working in conjunction with other Trades and Maintenance staff, the successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking all the Resort's carpentry requirements including general repairs and new projects.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Repairs and preventative maintenance in all areas of carpentry
  • New carpentry projects including major improvements
  • Timber experience
  • Assisting with general handyperson duties as required
  • Complying with OHS policies and procedures

The required skills and experience for this role include:

  • Trade qualification in Carpentry
  • Current manual driver's license
  • A strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and practices
  • The ability to multitask and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a Hotel or Resort environment is desirable
