Demlakian is a leading, multi-disciplinary engineering firm specialising in the design and delivery of intelligent engineering solutions. We work with local and international clients in the commercial, industrial, institutional, civic and residential sectors.

Additionally, we provide a wide range of building services to a variety of clients, including Strata & Property Managers, Strata Lawyers, Construction companies and Government departments.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineer/Builder to join our Building Services team. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with industry experts, and develop your skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and investigations of building defects and structural issues

• Prepare detailed reports, Scott Schedules, and technical specifications for various remedial works

• Provide recommendations for general building repairs and prepare scope of works documentation for tenders;

• Supervise sites and manage contract administration

• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders effectively

Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the residential and commercial construction industry within Australia

• Proven experience in conducting on-site assessments of construction works and building defects, along with preparing accurate reports

• Ability to prepare and manage construction contracts, perform work-in-progress inspections, and assess progress claims

• Understanding of common construction details and building practices, as well as knowledge of BCA/NCC and statutory requirements in the building industry

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
