What your new job looks like

As a member of the CHU Assess Team, you will be responsible for driving an outstanding customer experience, delivering market leading strata building consultancy through quality technical response

  • Building Consultancy comprising residential & commercial strata
  • Causation investigation and analysis
  • Remediation advice and guidance
  • Insurance Underwriting surveys
  • Identify building defects and damage
  • Prepare and issuance of reports to articulate causation, extent of loss, and recommended remediation
  • Scope preparation and validation
  • Technical face to face presentations to Brokers, Strata Managers and Owners
  • Support CHU on the delivery of key strategic initiatives and projects
  • Work cohesively with all other claims teams within CHU
  • Provide technical claims advice for colleagues within your team
  • Providing risk insights and guidance to the Underwriting team

We'd love to meet you

Especially if you can talk to us about your:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Current trade contracting licence or industry accreditation
  • Thorough knowledge of the building industry
  • Thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
  • Ability to communicate with all customers both verbally and in written form
  • Ability to identify building defects and damage
  • Ability to produce reports
  • Currently residency or willingness to relocate to QLD

Education/Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree / Tertiary Qualification in Building
  • Trade qualification
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience
