About the Opportunity  

We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Maintenance Officer to join our dedicated team at our Bribie Cove Residential Aged Care Home in Bongaree.

This is a permanent part time opportunity. We are looking for someone 4 days per week. 2 days at our Bribe Cove home (Bongaree) and 2 days at our Glasshouse home (Beerwah)with working hours available from Monday to Friday 7:00AM – 3:00PM or 8:00AM – 4:00PM. 

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring both planned and corrective maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Your ability to foster strong relationships with residents, contractors, and suppliers will be crucial in making sure every day is the best it can be for those in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repairs & Maintenance: Carry out general maintenance tasks including painting, plastering, equipment repairs, and installation of doors, cupboards, and shelves.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintain gardens and outdoor areas, including layout design and upkeep.
  • Stock Monitoring: Manage and reorder maintenance supplies as needed.
  • Responsive Service: Address maintenance requests and issues promptly and professionally.

To be successful, you will have

  • Experience in general maintenance and groundskeeping (aged care experience preferred)
  • Certificate IV qualification or relevant experience
  • Current valid drivers' licence
  • Australian work rights
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Flu Vaccination (or willing to obtain)
  • Evidence of at least one COVID-19 vaccination
  • A pre-employment medical assessment may be required
